The end of the trip was near and we reached Wagga Wagga. The town lies on the busy Melbourne-Sydney Countrylink train line (busy = 2 trains a day) and would provide us with a welcome train to go back to Sydney. Wagga Wagga is the district capital and a surprisingly big and green city on the Murrumbidgee River.

We were surprised how green Wagga was.
The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) named one of their planes after Wagga Wagga.
